Readiness Program
Pre-K (3 years old) & T-K (4 years old): The Academy fosters early academic skills and cognitive development by teaching our youngest students an assortment of concepts. Colors, basic counting and number sense, reciting the alphabet by sight and sound, visual and motor skills, speech development, following of verbal directions, preliminary writing skills, and overall proper classroom behavior and etiquette are introduced in a warm and friendly learning environment.
Kindergarten: Students learn an abundance of material that gets them ready for grade school standards. This program centers on basic writing skills, learning how to read, oral reading skills with verbal fluency and articulation, following multi verbal directions, sorting of different objects, number sense with basic addition and subtraction, and an introduction to working with computers.

1st-8th Grade
Students are able to choose between a single or a combination of subjects with our Math, English Language Arts (ELA), and Writing subjects. The Math program covers a range of material such as: Basic Arithmetic, 4 Operations, Algebra, Word Problems, Time & Money, Measurement, Data Interpretation, Geometry, and Applied Mathematics.
The English Language Arts program covers key skills that are needed for comprehension of both fiction and non-fiction (informational text). These skills include: Main Idea & Key Details, Summarization, understanding the correlation between Cause & Effect, learning how to Compare & Contrast, Drawing Conclusions and Inferences, and Making Predictions

Junior Writing Lab
The Junior Writing Lab helps students in the 4th - 7th grades understand the grammar rules, mechanics, and usage of the English language into properly formulated thoughts and ideas. With these basics, students will be able to create coherent sentences, paragraphs, and essays according to their proper grade level standards. Students are also taught different reading strategies that can be applied to different levels of text, from fiction to non-fiction, for deeper understanding of what they are reading.
High School and College Prep
We know our older students are busy trying to juggle academics, extra curricular activities, and community service before they head off to college. At the Academy, we provide extensive prep when it comes to studying for tests, note-taking skills, evaluation and editing of essays, college preparation and application mentoring, and overall guidance in what is to be expected as a 1st year university student.
The Advanced Writing Lab is reserved only for students that have a minimum reading comprehension skill of 8th grade. Students learn how to respond to literature classics such as Shakespeare, Frankenstein, and the Odyssey. Satire, Irony, Allusions, and Foreshadowing are frequent topics held in debate, while Plot Development and Archetypes are in constant discussion. Students also learn how to read news articles, break down poetry, and learn what a College Admission Application and Essay look like.
We have partnered with The Princeton Review when it comes to PSAT/AP/SAT/ACT Test Prep. Seminars and Parent Info meetings are frequently hosted on what colleges and universities look for in students during the admissions process. The Academy offers assessment tests to check a student’s compatibility with either the SAT or ACT. Practice tests for the SAT and ACT are also available.
We provide test prep for students who need support in passing the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE).

Here at the Academy we are well aware of technology's influence in the modern world. Our Robotics program allows students to get hands on experience with programming and developing an interest in robotics engineering and technology. It is a unique opportunity for students to gain engineering skills and have an appreciation for the time and work that is involved in technological advances.
Within the Academy's Robotics Program, students will not only develop a passion for robotics, they will learn a set of skills to further assist them in their education as well. Effective communication and time management are woven into the lesson plans as students will be working in groups to in order to complete assignments throughout their coursework. This program is aimed at motivating students to think critically and creatively when dealing with a problem. We focus on allowing students' curious and investigative mind to explore and excel. |

Transition to Physics -Thursdays: Session 1 (4-5pm) & Session 2 (5-6pm)
The Nobel Academy finds it necessary that a background in Physics is a must for all Robotics students, especially the young ones who have not been exposed to it in their schooling. This course will guide students on the important relationship between math and physics demonstrating how one subject can not exist without the other. Transition to Physics will cover fundamental concepts ranging from Unit Conversion and Linear Motion to Electrical Currents and Magnetism. Tailored to fit students from 3rd grade to 7th grade (based on their math/algebra skills), it will be a fun and exciting class for our future scientists and engineers!
